EWSNEWS – February 2021 update

Forthcoming events

Friday 19 February. A Zoom chat with Welsh Author Alis Hawkins at 7.30pm

A reminder to log in to Zoom to chat with Alis. This will be a lively evening of chat about Alis’s books and her involvement with Crime.Cymru, followed by a question and answer session. If you have a question or comment but are too shy to speak out (I don’t believe that of our members for one minute!) you can email me ahead of time …  gro.yteicoshslewhgrubnidenull@yraterces .

Email gro.yteicoshslewhgrubnidenull@yraterces and ask for the meeting log-in details.

Monday 1 March. Music, poems and pints evening at 7.00pm

We have been approached by Sian Roberts of “Love Welsh food” and invited to join (via Zoom) an evening of entertainment featuring Ieuan Rhys, Phyl & Mags Harris and Ffion Perrett. Tickets @ £15 per screen. All information including the Zoom link can be found on their website:

12 Feb update: The cost to book the March 1 event is £20 on the website, but only £15 on the poster. Jennifer has checked with Sian and it is their error. Anyone who books a ticket will be charged £20, and will subsequently get £5 refunded!

We had hoped that lockdown would have eased by now to enable us to have our centenary Cinio, but sadly that is not possible, so we hope this will be a fun evening and a suitable celebration of our patron saint. If this proves popular, we have the option of organising a bespoke evening at a later date, for members and friends. All comments, questions and opinions very much welcomed.

Sunday 7 March. A Zoom Gymanfa ganu at 3.00pm

A winning combination of talent comprising Margaret Brandie and Huw and Janet Thomas bring you our Gymanfa ganu to celebrate Dewi Sant. Sing along to a selection of favourite hymns in the comfort of your own home.

Email gro.yteicoshslewhgrubnidenull@yraterces and ask for the meeting log-in details.

Stay safe and I hope to see you via Zoom soon.
