Programme 2023–24

While the AGM will still continue to be held virtually, we are hoping to run our normal programme of meetings in person as we did last season. Where booking is required, or programme items are still to be confirmed, members will receive details via our EWSNEWS newsletter, and these will also be on our Newsletter page.

Many of our meetings will be held in one of the halls at Reid Memorial Church, 182 West Savile Terrace, Edinburgh, EH9 3HY – either the small hall or the large hall, as noted below.

Friday 15 September
7.30pm           Croeso! Informal supper party at Mortonhall Golf Club, 231 Braid Road, EH10 6PB.

Sunday 8 October
3.00pm           Harvest thanksgiving Service (Reid large hall).

Thursday 9 November
Illustrated talk by David Hughes on his trip to New Zealand. Details to follow in EWSNEWS.

Friday 24 November
7.30pm           St Andrew’s night celebration at Priestfield Parish Church hall, 2 Marchhall Place, Edinburgh, EH16 5HW.

Sunday 10 December
3.00pm           Service of carols and lessons, followed by vestry tea (Reid large hall).

Sunday 21 January 2024 (postponed)
3.00pm          Eisteddfod (Reid large hall).

Friday 16 February
7.30pm           Chinese Evening at Priestfield Parish Church hall, 2 Marchhall Place, Edinburgh, EH16 5HW.

Sunday 3 March
3.00pm           Gymanfa Ganu (Reid large hall).

Saturday 20 April
Trip to Galashiels to see the Great Tapestry of Scotland and lunch.

Note the change of date … your committee decided it would be prudent not to take what would be a very busy train to Galashiels because of the Melrose Sevens!

Tuesday 23 April
7.30pm           Annual General Meeting via Zoom
