Visit to the Murals at Prestonpans
Saturday 16 July 2011
Thirteen members of the Edinburgh Welsh Society enjoyed a very interesting talk on the murals by local artist, Andrew Crummy. These can be seen inside the Gothenburg and outside on walls around the town. Time and the weather prevented us from seeing all of the 30+ murals, so a return visit is a must.
Mr Crummy also gave us a brief introduction to the Prestonpans Tapestry, designed by him and stitched by many talented embroiderers. We then enjoyed a delicious lunch in the relaxed atmosphere of the Gothenburg Inn.
