The story so far:

The Officers and Committee have conferred and a programme of events has been arranged for 2025–26. A programme card will soon be printed and will be posted out to all our members who have paid their subs for this year.

Many thanks to those who have paid, and a polite reminder to those who are still thinking about it.

It was agreed that subscriptions should remain at Single £17 or Family £25, and if your subs are due now, please pay by cheque to Edinburgh Welsh Society, posted to me, or by bank transfer – the bank details are:

We rely on your continued support, especially your presence at our events, but we cannot run the Society without financial support.

Membership:

We are very keen to see more of you. Our Society depends on the support of you all. Also, if you know of any ex-pats living in or around Edinburgh, please invite them to join us.

Forthcoming events:

We are hoping to arrange a family get together some time in August, but our first formal fixture will be our Croeso supper party on Friday 19 September at 7.30pm at Mortonhall Golf Club, for which all details will be in my EWSNEWS nearer the time. Please mark the date in your diary.

Society news:

I was very sorry to hear from Florence Forbes (formerly Grant) that her husband Will had passed away at the end of May. On behalf of all of us who fondly remember Florence, I send our love and sincerest condolences.
