Tuesday 29 April. Annual General Meeting at 7.30pm.

My informal report on our AGM:

The Officers and Committee were re-elected and will serve for the next year. Our President, David Hughes indicated that this will be his last year. To ensure the future of the Society we warmly invite members to consider joining the Committee.

It was agreed that subscriptions should remain at Single £17 or Family £25 and your subs are due now, please, as the Society’s year runs from 1 April. You can pay by cheque to Edinburgh Welsh Society, posted to me, or by bank transfer – the bank details are:

An encouraging number of ideas for forthcoming events were generated at the AGM but, if you have any ideas for activities, please let me know soon, because the programme for 2025–26 will be discussed at the next Committee meeting. We’d be particularly interested in receiving ideas that might attract families. Full details will then be circulated as soon as ‘i’s are dotted and ‘t’s crossed.

We are very grateful for your continued support as evidenced by your having paid a subscription last year, and look forward to hearing from you soon that you have rejoined!

If you know of any ex-pats living in or around Edinburgh, or others with an interest in matters Welsh, do please invite them to join us. Better still, bring them along to the Croeso!
